Birding Aldcliffe: Birdwatching the Lune Estuary, Morecambe Bay, Lancashire: Linnet

An adult linnet accompanied by a fledgling was the highlight of a quick visit this morning.
A snipe was heard and then seen this afternoon.

Please be aware that some of the specific site names are not necessarily 'real' names and may have been coined by local patch birders, however some (such as Frog Pond and Pony Wood) are historically established.

IMPORTANT:
We ask that visiting birders keep to all public rights of way.
Aldcliffe Marsh is owned and managed by Morecambe Bay Wildfowlers Association and is strictly private. A public footpath runs along the length of the marsh along Dawson's Bank from the parking area north to Marsh Point.
Only view the Wildfowlers' Pools from the cycle track or from Dawson's Bank. Please do not enter the field.

All the main birding hotspots are viewable from public pathways.
