Birding at Aldcliffe

Please bear in mind that some of the individual site names are not necessarily 'real' names and will have been coined by myself and other local birders, however some such as Frog Pond and Pony Wood are historically known.
It is highly advisable that visiting birders keep to public rights of way, in particular only view the Wildfowlers' Pools from the gate overlooking the ponds on the cycle track or from the path running along Dawson's Bank. All the main birding hotspots are viewable from public pathways.
If you wish to report any interesting Aldcliffe area sightings please comment on this site, post on the LDBWS website or if it is a significant scarcity report your find to the rarity hotlines such as Rare Bird Alert (01603 456 789).
